WEBSTER – Josephine J. (Chmielewicz) Connor, 82, of 9 Deslauriers Ave., died Monday, Feb. 27, 2006, in Radius Healthcare, Worcester, after an illnesss.
She leaves her husband of 54 years, Walter J. Connor; three children, James P. Connor and his wife Carol of Houston, TX, Maria S. Gadoury and her husband James of Woodstock, CT, and John P. Connor and his wife Jennifer M. of Webster; a brother, John Chimes of Seattle, WA; two sisters, Stasia “Susie” Lango and Theresa Smith, both of Webster; seven grandchildren, Nicholas, Travis, Patrick, Tighe, Ryan, Rachel and Kelsey-Jo; nieces and nephews.
She was born in Webster, one of the nine children of John and Stephanie (Skrzypek) Chmielewicz and lived here all her life.
Mrs. Connor was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Joseph Basilica. She excelled at cooking and baking. Above all, her children and grandchildren were the joy of her life.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Donations in her name may be made to the VNA of Southern Worcester County, PO Box 368, Webster, MA 01570-0368. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main St.
