Johnny Albert Newcomb, age 80, of Chase City, Virginia passed away on Friday, August 14, 2020. He was born on December 24, 1939 in Charlotte County, Virginia and was the son of the late Albert Jackson Newcomb and the late Ruby Mae Berkley Newcomb.
He was a member of Salem Christian Church in Fort Mitchell and a member of Arrowhead Gun Club and Blackwater Hunting Club. Johnny was the Shop Supervisor for Lewis Tree Service for 33 years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rosemary Tharrington Newcomb; son, Bryant Kevin Newcomb; and brother, Clifton “Kip” Newcomb.
Johnny is survived by his sons, Michael Newcomb (Tracie) of Clarksville, Jeffrey Newcomb (Angela) of Chase City, and Mark “Scooter” Newcomb (Nikki) of Chase City; eleven grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, Robert “Bobby” Newcomb (Rachel) and Herman Newcomb (Arlene); sister, Brenda Lloyd; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, August 17, 2020 at Salem Christian Church Cemetery.
