New Bedford- Matthew James Souza, Age 35, of New Bedford, passed away Monday, August 10th at St. Lukes Hospital. He was the beloved son of Trisha Souza and James Andre.
Born in New Bedford he enjoyed watching and playing baseball, along with video games.
Matthew is survived by his mother Trisha, Father James, The love of his life Jolanda Desousa and their children Jadyn and Makayla Souza and his other son Matthew James Souza Jr, Grandmother Laura Santos, Mary Rezendes, Grandfather Jack Santos, Robert Souza, Brother Korey Souza and sister Kaysie Souza, Favorite Aunt, Tara and her husband Lou Rosa and cousin Myles, Aunt Alaina, favorite uncle, Bobby and favorite cousin Candi, along with other siblings, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was pre-deceased by his Great Grandmother Rita Soares.
In accordance with his wishes Matthew will be cremated. A memorial service to celebrate his life will take place on Saturday, August 29th 2020 at Perry Funeral Home from 4:00 P.M. - 6:00 P.M.
All attendees are required by current mandated restrictions to wear a face covering and to practice social distancing of 6 feet. Attendance will be limited in order to meet the mandated capacity restrictions.
