On February 22, 2006, Keith Robinson parted his life and went home with the Lord after a brief illness.
Keith was born on September 19, 1949 in New York City the son of the late George L. Robinson and Phyllis Monroe Waite.
Keith was an elder of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation and spent his last working years as the Director of the Department of the Interior for the tribe.
Keith enjoyed spending time with his children, family, and friends. His love for music is something that he shared with all.
He is survived by his wife Brenda Robinson; children India Robinson of Ledyard, Keith Robinson of Groton, Brianna and Brian Robinson of Groton; two stepdaughters, Anita Tipton of So. Pittsburgh, TN and Raquel Cofield of Newport News, VA; his siblings, Patricia Charity, Ruth Thomas, Keri Spears, Maxine Carter, Joseph Carter, Gary Carter, all of Mashantucket, many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and a very special nephew, Bryan Charity.
Keith will forever be in our hearts and we will always remember for his favorite saying “Hey Baby”.
Keith’s family will greet relatives and friends at The Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl Street, Historic downtown Mystic on Friday from 5pm-6:45pm, immediately followed by a funeral service at 7pm.
A Traditional Graveside Burial will be conducted at the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Burial Ground on Saturday at 9am. Serving as pallbearers will be Derrin Carter, Bryan Charity, Justin Carter, Michael Thomas, Gary Carter Jr., Allen Thomas, and Lake Spears Jr.
