Rubye L. Reeves formerly of Little Rock, Arkansas, age 89, passed away Sunday, February 26, 2006 at Baptist Memorial Hospital – North MS in Oxford, MS. Mrs. Reeves was married to the late Mr. Leonard Renfro and the late Mr. Bilbo Reeves. She worked in the retail industry in sales and book keeping. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Water Valley.
The visitation will be held at the First Christian Church in Water Valley, MS on Tuesday evening, February 28, 2006, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the First Christian Church at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 1, 2006 with Brother David Freeman officiating. The committal will be held at 1:00 p.m. in Durrett Cemetery in Quincy, MS.
She is survived by a step-daughter, Mary Charles Ford; three step-sons, Bilbo Reeves, Jr., Ralph Reeves, and Joe Reeves; 17 step-grandchildren all of Amory, MS; four nephews, Ray Brasher of Coffeeville, Jim Brasher of Vidor, TX, Gary Renfro of Tovares, FL, and Thomas Renfro of Bartlett, TN; one niece, Vicki Renfro of Water Valley, MS; and 11 great nieces and nephews.
Along with her husbands, Mrs. Reeves was preceded in death by her parents, J. W. and Dovie Spruill Brasher; two sisters, Sue Renfro and Carlene Taylor; and a brother, J. C. Brasher
