Obituary

Anthony Joseph Generoso Silla, D.D.S., passed away peacefully on
July 28th, at his home in Miami, surrounded by family. He was 89 years old.
Anthony was born in Boston, to the late Carmen and Julia (Forziati) Silla. It was in Boston where he met the love of his life, Christine, with whom he has been married for 63 years.

He went on to attend Boston University and served his country proudly in the Army during the Korean War. Later, he attended Loyola University in Chicago, IL., where he earned his doctorate in Dentistry-Oral Surgery. He then moved to Miami, where he practiced for 47 years in the city he loved and called home. Compassionate and caring; he was passionate about his field and helping others.

However, his biggest joy in life was his wife and family whom he loved dearly, expended endless energy and gave unwavering support. To him, no sacrifice was too great. Anthony was a kind, loving husband, father, son, brother, grandfather, and selfless friend. He will be missed beyond words.

Anthony is survived by his loving wife Christine A. (Tomblin) Silla. His children, Scott, Mark, Toni, Guy, Tina and his daughter-in-law, Sarah. Anthony was the adored grandfather of, Michelle, Maurizio, Nicole, Katie, Jason and Chance. He was the dear brother of Theresa Ciampa and Yolanda Foresteire.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a funeral Mass in St. Joseph Church 118 High Street, Medford, on Saturday, August 8, at 10AM. Services will conclude with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
