Robert William Doedyns, 79, of Kingsland passed away Sunday, August 2, 2020, at his residence. A graveside funeral service and burial will be held for Mr. Doedyns at 4:00 p.m. Friday, August 14, 2020, at Oak Ridge Cemetery with military honors.
Born December 30, 1940 in Dunkirk, New York, Mr. Doedyns was the son of the late Andrew Doedyns and Myrtle Centner Doedyns. He was also preceded in death by one brother. He retired after thirty years as a Master Gunnery Sergeant with the United States Marine Corps.
Mr. Doedyns is survived by his wife, Joyce Blalock Doedyns of Kingsland; four daughters and two sons-in-law, Dorian Doedyns of Lawton, Oklahoma, Jennifer Patterson of Saint Mary’s and Andrea and David Kloetzke and Renata and Darrell Meron, all of Kingsland; and seven grandchildren, Emily Meron, Adam Meron, Brianna Way, Colton Patterson, Ella Patterson, Ryan Kloetzke and Rayce Kloetzke.
