Obituary

Verl H. Lindsay, a 19 year resident of Derry, New Hampshire and formerly of Charlestown and Malden, entered into eternal life on Thursday, July 30, 2020 at The Pleasant Valley Nursing Center in Derry, New Hampshire. He was 90 years of age.

Verl was born in Valley Head, West Virginia on July 27, 1930, a son of the late Massey Lindsay and Mae (Swecker) Lindsay. He grew up in Valley Head, West Virginia where he was educated. Verl enlisted into the United States Navy on December 4, 1952 and served his country faithfully and with courage during the Korean Conflict. He was honorably discharged on December 5, 1956 with the rank of Fireman Apprentice. Verl worked in the shipping and receiving department for House of Bianci Bridal Store for over 20 years.

He is the beloved husband of the late Joyce E. (Humphrey) Lindsay. He is the devoted father of Verl Lindsay and his wife Linda, Brian Lindsay and his wife Annmarie, Nancy Bonafine and her husband Stephen, Sandra Bean and her husband David and Virginia LaFauci and her husband Frank. He is the loving Grandpa and Papa to 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He is the beloved brother of Olis Compagna, Shirley Isner, Dwayne Lindsay, Oland Lindsay, Ethilene Durham and the late Ila Davis, Paul Lindsay, Robert Lindsay and Vera Seabold. He is also survived by his many loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Verl's visiting hours on Thursday, August 6, 2020 from 3 to 7 P.M. with Military Honors being presented at 6:45 P.M. in The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown. His burial will be private. (FACIAL COVERINGS ARE REQUIRED INSIDE THE FUNERAL HOME.)
