Obituary

Clinton Leroy Wright, aged 76, resident of North Smithfield, RI passed away peacefully on July 27, 2020 at the Care Dimensions Hospice House in Lincoln, MA after a brief illness with an ear & temporal bone cancer. Born in Attleboro, MA and a lifelong resident of Rhode Island, Clint was a graduate of Charles E. Shea High School of Pawtucket, RI. He is survived and cherished by his daughters, Kelly Charais and Sheri Perry of Arizona, Son-in Law, Scott Perry, the mother of his children and former spouse, Annette (Morissette) Wright, and his two grandchildren, Samantha Perry, and Scott Perry Jr. He was the only child of the late Rita C. Wright and the late Clinton L. Wright.
He was a successful businessman and as CEO, partnered with Jules Cohen to form Dataman Inc, a healthcare software development company. Together, he and Jules transformed Dataman into, Orbis Inc., which was publicly traded. As a lifelong tournament bridge player, Clint achieved a Bronze Life Master rank and drew the attention of the National members of the ACBL. During retirement, he founded and directed the Bridge Club of Northern RI where he continued to compete, teach members, and organize tournaments. Aside from bridge, his passions included his daughters, grandchildren, the dog track, horse racing, and investing in the stock market. He was known as a generous and loyal friend to many and will be greatly missed.
His services and burial will be private due to Covid-19. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. His family would like to thank everyone for their loving thoughts. In lieu of flowers, please visit the online guestbook to share condolences.
