SOMERSET – James F. Rego, age 60 a resident of Somerset, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 30, 2020 at Charlton Memorial Hospital after a brief Illness. Born in Fall River, James was the son of the late John Cordeiro Jr. and the late Margaret (Rego) Cordeiro.
James is survived by his Soul Mate of 22 years: Patricia Mello of Somerset; his beloved Daughter: Mallory Rego; Siblings: John Cordeiro of Warwick, Donna Souza of Tiverton, and Jennifer Cordeiro of Fall River; four Grandchildren: Aleyzha Almond, Adam and Avaughn Ware, Lenzell Crump; nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Tracy Cordeiro and Vicki L. Marques.
Prior to retiring, James worked for State Road Auto Sales in Westport as an Auto Mechanic. In his free time, he used to love to restore old cars and build drag racing cars to be run at New England Dragway in Epping, NH.
Visitation for James will take place in the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St., Fall River on Monday, Aug. 3, 2020 from 9-11 A.M., followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00 A.M.
