Obituary

Norris D. Harding, age 85, passed away Saturday, February 25, 2006 at his residence in Water Valley, MS. Mr. Harding is married to Mrs. Donna Frances Kirkwood Harding. He was a Railroad Engineer for Illinois Central. He served in the United States Army during WWII and fought in the Battle Attu in Alaska. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Water Valley, VFW, American Legion, United American Transportation Union, and the Sons of the Confederacy.

The visitation will be held at Seven Oaks Funeral Home on Sunday evening, February 26, 2006, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held in Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 27, 2006 with Reverend Jimmy Turner officiating. The committal will be held in Oak Hill Cemetery in Water Valley, MS.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Frances Kirkwood Harding of Water Valley, MS; three sons, Donald Frank Harding of Caledonia, MS, William Norris Harding of Clarksdale, MS, and Roger Bruce Harding of Bartlett, TN; one sister, Grace Lynn Beasley of Jacksonville, FL; 5 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.

Mr. Harding was preceded in death by his parents, Frank D. and Fannie Lee Oakes Harding; a sister, Nellie Mae McCulley; and a brother, David Alonzo Harding.
