Obituary

Mary T. C. Kell, 84, of Wake Robin Road, Lincoln, died Sunday, July 26, 2020 at her home, with her family by her side.

Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Lucien and Mary (Descy) Michaud. She had lived in Woonsocket before moving to Lincoln in 2005.

Mary was a substance abuse counselor at Fuller Memorial Hospital for 28 years before she retired. She had proudly served in the USAir Force during the Korean War.

Mom was a warrior, tailored from the fabric of the greatest generation. She was a staunch advocate for women living as an example for what is possible. She volunteered to serve her country when it was not popular for women to do so. As a mom she dedicated her life to her family and to the care of others. All the while she continued to advance herself, earning her Degree from the University of Rhode Island, Class of 1993 at the age of 57. Serving as a substance abuse counselor, mom touched many lives, and remained a friend of Bill W. for over 36 years. Mom was the first elected female commander of AMVETS Post 12, Woonsocket, RI. She was a participant in the first “All Female” Honor Flight, which flies to Washington, DC, each year to honor those living veterans of foreign wars, and our fallen hero’s. Mom loved her children dearly. She was many things to many people, but to us she was just our mom. Our hearts are broken and she will be sorely missed.

She is survived by her children: Michelle Kell of Elijah, GA, Angelique Robinson of Cleveland, GA, Carmen Boyer of Exeter,RI, Marc Kell of Harrisville, RI and Vanessa McCall of Redding, CA, her 13 grandchildren, four great grandchildren, two great grandchildren, two nieces and a brother, Robert Michaud of Clearwater, FL. She was the sister of the late Isabelle Michaud and Lucien Michaud.

A visitation will be held Friday 4-7pm. Military honors will be rendered at 4:30pm. Due to COVID restrictions please visit the family from your vehicle via virtual visitation. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Po Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101-0050 or a charity of your choice.
