Obituary

CHICOPEE – Susie M. Beaudry, 96, of the Aldenville section of Chicopee, completed her journey on this earth on Saturday, July 25, 2020. She passed into Eternal Life from her residence at the Atrium in Agawam surrounded by the care and comfort of the wonderful staff at the Atrium and Beacon’s Angels. She was born on February 1, 1924, in San Michele Catanzaro, Calabria, Italy. Susie was the daughter of the late Angelo and Rosina (Colaccino) Maruca. Her brother, Anthony Maruca, of Agawam also predeceased her. Her family came to this country in 1930 where she was raised in Springfield and completed her sophomore year at Springfield Technical High School. She met the “love of her life”, Clement L. Beaudry while working at the Springfield Armory. They were married at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Springfield on February 20, 1943. They resided most of their life on Percy Street in Aldenville. When the children were in school, she helped her husband deliver milk (Clem’s Dairy). She was truly his “life partner.” Since 1984, Susie and Clem wintered in North Port, Florida until his death in 2010. She was a communicant of Sainte Rose de Lima Church in Chicopee. They were blessed with over 67 years of happiness together. She leaves five loving children, Marcelle M. Bastien of Chicopee, Sister Susan M. Beaudry of the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary in Biddeford, ME, Louise R. Tyndall and her husband, Bob, of Norristown, PA, Denise J. O’Donnell of Chicopee and Michael A. Beaudry and his wife, Kim, of Belchertown. She was “Grandma” to Valerie Beck, Bob Tyndall, Amy Fields, Mathew O’Donnell, Ryan O’Donnell and Tony Beaudry and “Mémère” to Keira, Colin, Ben, Emma, Ailey and Madelyn. Her burial will be private at the convenience of her family. The St. Pierre-Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, (413-532-9806), 13 Dale Street, Chicopee, MA 01020 is assisting her family. Her family has requested that memorial donations be made in her memory to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, Church Street Station, P.O.
