Myrna Sue Erskine Allen, 78, of Tifton passed away Sunday, July 26, 2020 at her residence. A private graveside funeral service will be held for Mrs. Allen at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, July 30, 2020, at Lawrence Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest. Allen Lamb will give a eulogy.
Mrs. Allen’s grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Born January 27, 1941 in Cook County, Mrs. Allen was the daughter of the late General Howard Erskine and Carrie Seago Erskine. She was also preceded in death by her husband and the love of her life, George “Larry” Allen, Sr.; one granddaughter, Tiffany Eaton; four brothers; and three sisters. She was a homemaker and she loved flowers. She also loved daycare and kept children in her home for 28 years.
Mrs. Allen is survived by her children and their spouses, Teresa and David Fant, Kimberly and Paul Spampinato, George “Chuck” Jr. and Kathy Allen, Tami and David Eaton and Marty and Sandye Allen, all of Tifton; twelve grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.
