Jon D. Headley II, 35, of Derry, NH passed away on July 23, 2020 in Derry. Jon was born in Ft. Worth, TX on October 3, 1984, a son of Jon Merritt and Louise Chevalier. He had been a resident of Derry for the past five years, formerly living in New York and Texas. Jon was an extremely talented artist, and had a rogue nature about him that his family loved. He was strong-willed, smart, handsome, witty, loving, and gave strong bear-hugs. He had a great, crazy sense of humor, that, when together with his brothers, was a force to be reckoned with! Jon loved his daughters with all his heart, as well as his longtime, treasured girlfriend, Becca. His passing causes unimaginable grief to his family and all who loved him. The hole in our hearts will never be healed.
He is survived by his two daughters, Rylee Headley of Washington, and Novaly Luman of Texas, his father, Jon Merritt of Florence, TX, his mother, Louise Chevalier of Derry, two brothers, Adam Headley of Rochester, NH, and Spencer Headley, and his paternal grandmother, Cindra McCormick of Florence, TX.
Following cremation, calling hours will be held on Saturday August 8, 2020 from 1 to 3 pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. A Catholic prayer service will be offered at 2:45 pm in the funeral home. Due to State of NH guidelines, all guests are required to wear masks and encouraged to social distance.
