Obituary

Lillian S. Hathcoat, 89, of Anderson, passed away Sunday, July 19, 2020 at Community Hospital in Anderson, following a brief illness.
She was born on December 18, 1930 in Morgansville, West Virginia, the daughter of Ray and Effie (Orr) Stubbs. She was employed by the Delco Remy Division of General Motors for 38 years, retiring in 1989. She was very thankful to be a Delco Remy employee and enjoyed the social gatherings held through the UAW Local 662 over the years. She was a faithful member of First Presbyterian Church in Anderson, where she served on many committees and as an Elder and Deacon. Lillian was an avid bowler and participated on many local teams over the years. She particularly enjoyed traveling to National Bowling Tournaments with her teammates, who were also her good friends.
She is survived by her son, Michael (wife, Angela) Carder of Northborough, Massachusetts, several nieces and nephews, and many friends.
She was preceded by her parents, her husband, Billie “Bill” Hathcoat in 2006, and five siblings; Chloe Stubbs, Mildred Hickman, Hazel VanScoy, Frank Stubbs, and Orville Stubbs.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2020 from 4-7 p.m. at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service.
Funeral services will be on Friday, July 24, 2020 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Kevin Bausman. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
