Karen "Jeanni" (Smith) Lewark, 71, Markleville; died July 19, 2020 at St. Vincent Anderson after an extended illness.
She was born February 8, 1949 in Anderson, the daughter of Jim Smith and Mardelle (Lennis) Ring. She was a member of Spring Valley Quilt Guild and Anderson High School Class of 1967.
She is survived by her daughter, Michelle Brown of Markleville; son, Derek (Kelly) Lewark of Markleville; three grandchildren, Joshua, Kyler and Kaine Lewark(to whom she was known as "Donut Ma"); special friends Sharon McElfresh and Jeanne Robinson; several nieces and nephews including Steve Douglas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Michael Lewark of Markleville, whom she married October 16, 1968 and her sister, Susi Douglas.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, July 22, at 11:30 a.m. at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to American Cancer Society.
