Obituary


David R. Lindstrom, a long-time resident of North Truro and Provincetown, died suddenly Monday, July 6th at Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis. He was 77.

Born and educated in Worcester, the son of George and Astrid Lindstrom, he received his Ph. D. in clinical psychology from Syracuse University. He did research in child development for the Educational Testing Service in Princeton, NJ before moving to the Cape with his then-partner, Clive Driver, who predeceased David in 1998.

David worked for many years for the Town of Truro before joining the staff of the Provincetown Banner. He was an avid gardener, enthusiastic collector and generous host for many memorable parties in both North Truro and Provincetown.

Devoted to his family and loyal to his friends, he is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Avice Lindstrom; sister Barbara Schuh; nephew Steven Schuh and his family; niece Lisa Page and her family; niece Julie Lindstrom; and his partner of 23 years, Charles Karchmer.
