Martiel Rowell Dillard, 81, of Tifton passed away Thursday, July 16, 2020, at the Rehabilitation Center of South Georgia in Tifton. A graveside funeral service will be held for Mrs. Dillard at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, July 19, 2020, at Tift Memorial Gardens, where she will be laid to rest. The Rev. Conway Harris will officiate.
Born October 21, 1938 in Ambrose, Mrs. Dillard was the daughter of the late Harvey Lee Rowell and Stella Luke Rowell. She was a homemaker and a minister’s wife and a member of Believers Baptist Church in Tifton.
Mrs. Dillard is survived by her husband of almost 66 years, the Rev. James “Edwin” Dillard of Tifton; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Charles and Melissa Dillard of Ty Ty, Sammy and Gloria Dillard of Tifton and Glenn Dillard of Nashville; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Aldine and Patsy Rowell of Lake Wales, Florida and Jerry and Sara Rowell of Jacksonville, Florida; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
