Obituary

Ralph G. Dryden, Jr.,89, formerly of 116 Hastings Rd., Spencer,
died Thursday, Feb. 23 at Christopher House of Worcester.
He was the husband of Ruth E. (Wharton) Dryden who died in 2003. He leaves a
son James C. Dryden (Elaine) of Leicester, four grand children Rebecca
Dryden, James G. Dryden and his wife Marlene P. and Aimee J. Dryden all of
Leicester, and Daniel Gagne of Spencer, a great grandson Patrick James
Dryden of Leicester, a sister Dorothy Stroud of SanAntonio, Tx., nieces and
nephews. He is predeceased by two brothers Wesley and Harold Dryden and
three sisters Leona Hemming, Clarise Ramsdell and Arlene Dryden.
Mr. Dryden owned and operated the former Chadwick Diner for many years
located on Rte. 9 at the Cherry Valley/Worcester line before retiring in
1979. He was an Army veteran of WWII serving in the European Theatre. He was
a member and past President of the Leicester Rod & Gun Club, former member
and chairman of the the Town Hall Building Committee in Leicester. Ralph was
an avid hunter.
Born in Worcester, he was the son of Ralph G. and Euphemia (Boucher) Dryden,
Sr.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Feb. 27 at 10 a.m. in the
MORRISON-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St.,Leicester. Calling hours are
Sunday, Feb. 26 from 3 to 5p.m. Please omit flowers, contributions may be
