Eva A. (Baccelli) DiBenedetto, 91, of New Bedford passed away peacefully surrounded by family Sunday, July 12, 2020. She was the wife of the late Enrico "Henry" DiBenedetto.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late John and Attilia (Giorgi) Baccelli, she grew up in Italy before returning to New Bedford as a young adult.
She was formerly employed as a seamstress.
She was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish. Eva enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved cooking and telling stories of her childhood in Italy.
Survivors include a son, Peter and his wife Patricia DiBenedetto of Freetown; a daughter Paula Rapoza of New Bedford; and three grandchildren, William Rapoza, and Cameron and Sophia DiBenedetto.
Her visitation will be Thursday, July 16th from 8:30 to 9:30 AM at the Funeral Home followed by her Funeral Mass at St. Francis of Assisi Church at 10 AM. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery.
