Saco - Edward L. Pennell Jr., 82, of Saco died on July 8, 2020 at Southern Maine Medical Center in Biddeford. He was born in Portland on January 4, 1938 a son of Edward and Mildred (Powers) Pennell and was educated in Portland Parochial schools.
Edward was a crane operator for many years at Bankcroft and Martin Construction Co. of South Portland. He later worked for many years doing mechanical work for Vito Mininni Inc. of Biddeford. He was an avid hunter and a long time member of the National Rifle Association. He also loved fixing and restoring old cars and boating in his spare time. He was a history buff as well and loved reading and learning about our past. He will be sadly missed by all who loved him.
Besided his parents, he is predeceased by his siblings: Shirley Brooks, Diane Seger, Earl Pennell, Gary Pennell, Gregory Pennell, and a baby sister, Elaine M. Pennell. Surviving are his 5 children: Elaine Michaud and husband Michael of Windham, Wayne Pennell and wife Julie of Windham, Robert Pennell and wife Jennifer of Gray, Caryn Clark of Raymond, and Edward Pennell and wife Valerie of Windham. Also 16 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren with 1 on the way, and many nieces and nephews.
