CHICOPEE – Patricia A. “Patti” (Sheehan) Lopez, 78, of the Fairhaven Apartments in the Fairview section of Chicopee, was Called Home on Friday, July 10, 2020. She passed into Eternal Life at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family. She was born in Holyoke on October 21, 1941, a beloved daughter of the late Thomas F. and Rita A. (Despault) Sheehan. She was raised and educated in Chicopee and had lived in the Willimansett section of Chicopee. She later moved to Connecticut in 1965 before returning to Chicopee in 2012. She was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, great aunt and friend who loved spending time with her family and her many friends. She leaves her five loving sons, Steven K. Stiles of Chaplin, CT, Keith A. Stiles of New York, NY, David William Francis McCarthy and his wife, Brendalee, of Rockville, CT, Thomas G. McCarthy and his wife, Christine, of Vernon, CT and Jeffrey L. McCarthy of Connecticut; her cherished grandchildren including Curtis Bogli, Patricia Christ, Amber Stiles and Nicole Stiles; her two cherished great-grandchildren, Nickolas and Aaliyah Doble; her three dear siblings, Karen F. Walker and her husband, Daniel, Michael Sheehan and his wife, Debbie, and Nancy L. Sheehan, all of Chicopee; her two dear nephews, John P. Sheehan of Augusta, ME and Patrick Sheehan and his wife, Vicky, of Suffield, CT; her two dear nieces, Kelly Dellamattera and her husband, Jeffrey, of New York and Meredith McCullough and her husband, Josh, of Leesburg, VA; her four dear great nephews, Parker and Shawn Sheehan and Max and Trevor McCullough; and her dear great niece, Kyla Sheehan. She also leaves her many dear friends including her caring Fairhaven friends. Her family would like to thank Pat Gagnon of Western Mass Elder Care and Nancy Abbey for everything they did for Patti over the past few years. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her cherished grandson, Jason Christ; and her dear brother, Richard T. Sheehan. Her family and friends are invited to attend a Graveside Prayer Service on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at 1:30 p.m. at Sainte Rose Cemetery, 49 Olsen Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. Her funeral services are entrusted to the St. Pierre-Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, (413-532-9806), 13 Dale Street, Chicopee, MA 01020.
