Obituary

Ricardo (Rick) Larry Prokey of Limington, Maine passed unexpectedly at his home on July 9, 2020. He was born October 15, 1949 in Rochester, New Hampshire.

Predeceased by his parents Richard and Esther, and his brother Gregory, Rick is survived by his wife Carole Morin Prokey, and siblings Donald Prokey, Wanda Labbe, Gary Prokey and Donna Dame. He was father to five children, Jennifer Prokey, Joshua Prokey, Valerie McAuslin, Douglas Tardif, and Eric Prokey. He was grandfather to eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Rick was known for his hard work ethic, generosity and as an avid outdoorsman whether it be hunting; fishing or hiking in his youth. He had a love and intuition with animals, and children and would light up in his presence. His grandchildren all remember his ticklish beard and teasing ways. He was a leader and nurturer to his loved ones and friends. He had faith in God, and Christianity and never stopped educating himself, whether it be science, politics, or current events. Rick retired from Central Maine Power where he worked for over 40 years.

A brief graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at Laurel Hill Cemetery, 293 Beach St, Saco, ME 04072. Please be mindful of state social distancing guidelines at the cemetery.
