Laconia-Yvonne Lorraine (Fitts) Barker, 61, of 59 Woodland Avenue died Thursday afternoon, February 23, 2006 at Belknap County Nursing Home after a lengthy Illness.
Yvonne was born in Freemantle, West Australia, March 16, 1944. She was the daughter of the late Verner R. “Joe” Fitts, Sr. who died in 2002, and Elsie B. (Brown) Fitts. She had been a resident of Laconia for most of her life.
Yvonne attended Sacred Heart School, and was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Laconia. She enjoyed knitting and many different types of crafts.
Yvonne is survived by her mother Elsie B. (Brown) Fitts of Laconia, two sons, Michael R. Freeman and Jonn R. Freeman both of Laconia, two brothers, Verna R. Fitts, Jr. of Jacksonville, FL, and David W. Fitts of Oakdale, CT, two granddaughters, Brittany A. and Ciarra L. Freeman both of Laconia. Many uncles, aunts, nieces, and nephews also survive her.
Visiting hours were held on Monday, February 27, 2006 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Simoneau-Paquette Memorial Home, 139 Church Street, Laconia. Funeral Services followed the visiting hours at 7:00 p.m. at the Memorial Home. Family and friends were invited to attend. A Graveside Service will take place in the family lot at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Garfield Street, Laconia, Saturday July 1, 2006 at 11:00 a.m.
