Phyllis C. (Alegre) Capriotti, of Somerville, died Wednesday at the Massachusetts General Hospital. She was 93.
Phyllis was born in Lisbon, Portugal, the daughter of the late Manuel and Mary Alegre. Mary came to America at the age of 12 and settled in Somerville. A dedicated wife, mother and grandmother, Phyllis worked for several years with the former Davison Rubber Co. She also enjoyed making beatiful flower arrangements for family and friends.
She was the beloved wife of the late Daniel P. Capriotti. She was a devoted mother of Lawrence and his wife Jeanne, Paul and his wife Lidia all of Somerville and the late Daniel, Jr. She was a loving grandmother to Paul, Jr., Linda, Michelle, Lawrence, Jr., Danielle, Daniel, III and great-grandmother of three. She was the sister of the late Lawrence Alegre and Mary Gerard. She also leaves many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Saturday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner Street, Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday 4 - 8. Services will conclude with burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
