Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Monday at 8 am. Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 9 am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Obituary
Mrs. Souza died Wednesday evening at the Brockton Hospital after a period of failing health. She was born in Brockton, a daughter of the late Louis and Gloria (Silva) Silva. She was raised in West Bridgewater and attended West Bridgewater schools. She had been a waitress at Jack’s Diner in Brockton and a hairdresser for 44 years working in Stoughton at Kays’ Beauty Salon and had her own shop at her residence until her death. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and a longtime communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes for over 51 years.
She is survived by her children, Joseph Souza, Jr. and his wife Rita of Brockton, Ronald Souza and his wife Irene of Westfield, VT, Linda Crossley and her husband Roland of Brockton, David Souza of Tampa, Fl. and Allan Souza of Brockton, two sisters Emily Fustolo of Stoughton, Gloria Patterson of Ocala, Fl and a brother Francis Silva of Pembroke, 10 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Loving companion of the late Roy Davis, sister of the late Margaret Campanelli, Louis Silva, Louise Gzezotis, Anna Pike and Katherine Hyde.
