Normand R. Gervais Sr. 87 of 10 Rhodes Ave. N Smithfield died Tuesday at St. Antoine Residence. He was born in the Phenix section of W. Warwick, RI a son of the late Philodore and Lucienne (Manseau) Gervais. Mr. Gervais lived most of his life in Woonsocket and had also resided in Sandwich, MA for ten years. He was an Insurance Salesman for the MetLife Ins. Co for twenty five years retiring in 1982. Mr. Gervais was a WWII Army-Air Force Veteran and was a member of the Flying Tigers. He was a former member of the Club Marquette.
Mr. Gervais is survived by a daughter Michelle A. Gervais of Pinckney MI and a son Normand R. Gervais Jr. of Dudley, MA, a sister Marguerite Kenyon of Woonsocket and two grandchildren. He was also the brother of the late Camille, Gerard, Roland, Guy, Lucille, and Therese Gervais.
His funeral will be held Monday at 10:00 from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St. with A Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 in the St. Antoine Residence Chapel, 10 Rhodes Ave N. Smithfield. Burial will be held in the Massachusettes National Cemetery in Bourne. Visiting hours are Sunday 4-8 pm.
