Obituary

Jack W. Hoenstine, 87, of Anderson, died July 5, 2020 at home following an extended illness.
He was born on July 31, 1932 in Anderson, the son of John S. and Edith (Fickes) Hoenstine. He was a Korean War Veteran and was employed in furniture sales for many years in the area. Jack enjoyed sports especially Purdue and the Steelers and also enjoyed history.
He is survived by his three children; John (Phyllis) Hoenstine, Timothy (Lori Ann) Hoenstine, and Jill (Anthony Folkner) Clark; five grandchildren; Jacob (Rebecca) Hoenstine, Jared Hoenstine, Rachel Hoenstine, Travis (Felecia) Jeffries, and Jordan Jeffries; 10 great grandchildren; three siblings, Paul Hoenstine of Colorado, Don Locke of Kentucky, and Patricia Pierson of Texas.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Jean (Steele) Hoenstine and his parents.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Pastor Jerry Hobbick officiating. Burial will follow at East Maplewood Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will be held on Thursday from 11AM until 1 PM.
