Obituary

Harry R. Jepson, 82, of Westport Point, passed away Saturday, July 4, 2020 at home. He was husband of Carol (Perry) Long Jepson.

Born in Attleboro, son of the late Harry and Alice M. (LeBlanc) Jepson, he had lived in Westport since 1999. He was a 1955 graduate of Attleboro High School and a 1959 graduate of Kings Point, NY. A veteran of the Vietnam War, he was Commissioned to the United States Navy and served his tour of duty during the war from 1964 - 1967, he was also a Merchant Marine responsible for shipping ammunition to Vietnam and following the war he was first mate on the Atlantis out of Woods Hole. After his military service, Mr. Jepson ran a fishing charter business out of Falmouth. He owned and operated Atlantic Restoration in Pocasset, where he restored antique cars. Richard was a lover of many things including swimming in the Westport River every day until it froze, working on his 32' Brownell boat, any old items, taking drives, but most of all he loved his wife Carol and his cat Ralph.

Including his wife, survivors include 3 sons: Christian Jepson and his wife Donna of Jamaica Plain, Timothy N. Jepson and his partner Jill Badger of Harwich and Carl B. Jepson and his wife Sherri of Brewster; 3 step-sons: John Long of Tiverton, Perry Long of Westport and Patrick Long of Westport; a brother: John D. Jepson and his wife Jean of Attleboro; a sister: Mary L. Poissant and her husband Dennis of Yarmouthport; his former wife: Emily St. Pierre of Chatham; 7 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was brother of the late Anne Jepson.

Private services will be held.
