Obituary

Philip J. Hayes of Dedham, formerly of South Boston, passed away February 22, 2006 at Marian Manor in South Boston. He was 86. Mr. Hayes was born in Somerville and was the son of the late Isodore Hayes. He was a World War II Veteran, serving in the United States Navy. He worked for the A&P Bakery in Somerville and also as a loan officer for Fleet Bank in South Boston. He was a resident of Dedham for the past 5 years.

He was the beloved husband of the late Anne E. (Kane) Hayes.

He was the devoted father of Nancy J. Kinch and her husband James of Dedham and Robert J. Hayes and his wife Ellen of Wrentham. He was the brother of the late Eugene Hayes, Helen Mattozzi and Marie Daley. Also survived by 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St., Dedham, on Saturday at 9:00 AM. Funeral mass in St. Mary’s Church, Dedham, at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours on Friday from 4-8 PM. Interment in Mt. Benedict Cemetery, West Roxbury. Expressions of sympathy may be made in Philip’s memory to Marian Manor, 130 Dorchester St., South Boston, MA 02127.
