Obituary

Frank Torrell, Jr., 89, of Clymer, PA died on Friday, July 3, 2020 at Indiana Regional Medical Center in Indiana, PA.

The son of Frank and Clara (Amendola) Torrell, he was born on September 6, 1930 in Punxsutawney, PA.

A Korean War veteran, Frank served overseas in Korea as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army from March 1952 to December 1953. Among his commendations, he earned the Korean Service Medal w/ 3 Bronze Stars.

Frank married Mary “Jane” (Limrick) Torrell on January 5, 1952 and they have shared over sixty-eight years of marriage together.

A man whose hobby was working, he owned and operated Frank’s Plumbing & Heating for over twenty-five years located on the corner of the main intersection in Clymer, PA.

In 1974, he started Torrell Auto Sales. For a time, he owned T&T Beverage based in Gipsy, PA.

Frank enjoyed traveling. He was especially fond of the over twenty-six winters he and his wife Jane spent in Texas. One of his favorite pastimes was fishing.

He is survived by his wife Jane of Clymer, PA; his three sons: Rick Torrell and wife, Jeannie of Virginia Beach, VA; Bruce Torrell and wife Judy of Commodore, PA; Tom Torrell and wife of Karen of Indiana, PA; his six grandchildren and his nine great-grandchildren.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents and his two brothers: Thomas and Charles Torrell.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, private arrangements will be held for his family. Pastor Scott Sauers will officiate Frank’s funeral service. Interment will be at the Church of the Resurrection (St. Francis) Cemetery in Rossiter, PA.
