Obituary

Wilda Irene (States) Hankinson Lowman, 90, of Clymer, PA died on Friday, July 3, 2020 at Indiana Regional Medical Center in Indiana, PA.

The daughter of Homer and Rachel (Rugh) States, she was born on August 18, 1929 in Big Run, PA.

Wilda loved going to church. More recently she attended The Saving Grace Church in Indiana, PA. She had been a longtime member of the Dixonville Wesleyan Church. She was also a dedicated supporting contributor to Cornerstone Television.

For ten years Wilda worked at Indian Haven as a nurse’s aid.

Known as a good cook, she particularly liked sharing her food at outdoor picnics. In her leisure time Wilda enjoyed embroidery.

She greatly loved spending time with her family. Wilda was a loving mother and grandmother. Wilda thoroughly enjoyed her ninetieth birthday celebration last summer where her beloved family and friends adorned her with a birthday crown and sash.

Wilda is survived by her five daughters: Diana Adams of Indiana, PA; Pat Fetterman and significant other; John Cochran of Home, PA; Bonnie Hinton of Indiana, PA; Judy Fulmer and husband Edward of Clymer, PA and Jean Henry of Clymer, PA; her son-in-law, Roland “Red “ Pugh of Dixonville, PA; her step-children: Thomas Lowman and wife Debbie of Blairsville, PA; Phyllis Leasure and husband Jim of Cookport, PA; Donald Lowman and wife Elaine of Apollo, PA; her fourteen grandchildren: David Pugh; Pastor Tom Pugh; Ed, Michelle and William Adams; Penny Mora; Beth Ann Smith; Theresa Henry; Tim Hinton; Ed and Jeff Fulmer; Kimberly Keith; Bobbie Mason; Rachel Henry; her six step-grandchildren: Jodi Lowman; Lauri Leasure Stello; James Leasure, Jr.; Dawn Marie Lowman; Michelle Dongiovanni and Jason Lowman and her fifty-one great grandchildren; great great, and great great great grandchildren.

Wilda was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband: Richard Hankinson; her second husband: Tom Lowman; her daughter: Sandra Pugh; her son-in-law: Robert Adams; her granddaughter: Brandy Pardee; her great grandson: Levi Keith; her brothers: Thomas, Paul, Alvin and David States and her sisters Sara Frantz; Mary McClinsey and Minnie Frantz.

Family and friends will be received on Sunday, July 5, 2020 from 2-4:00 p.m. at the Dixonville Wesleyan Church at 246 Purchase Line Road in Dixonville, PA, where a 4:00 p.m. funeral service will take place with Pastor Paul Wallace officiating. Committal will be at the New Life Lutheran Cemetery, 1209 LeRoy Road, Marion Center, PA 15759.
