Obituary

Arnold M. Friedman, age 96, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2020, at his home in Wayland.
He was born in Roxbury, MA, eldest son of Joseph & Mollie Friedman and raised in Boston's West End.
He served as a Sergeant in the Army in WWII, and fought in the Battle of the Bulge, receiving both a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star, together with other citations and decorations.
Arnold's career spanned many years as a manager at Raytheon in Lowell in the Missile Systems Division. In his retirement, he enjoyed travel, tennis, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his loving wife Janis Friedman (Cohen,) his sister Libby (Topol), daughters Yohanna Medley and Elissa Premo, and son Joshua Friedman, his grandchildren Shayna Medley, Spencer Friedman, Wesley Friedman, Oliver Friedman, Brandon Premo and Brian Premo.
Graveside services were held on June 23, 2020 under the direction of Bryant Funeral Home with burial in Wayland's North Cemetery.

Checks should be made payable to The UC Regents with a notation that the gift is in honor of Arnold Friedman and sent via USPS to The UCLA Foundation, PO Box 7145, Pasadena, CA 91109-9903; the Wounded Warrior Project or a charity of one's choice.
