Obituary

Worcester- Stasia T. (Borowy) Lysiak, 88 of 1 Etre Drive, and 99 Gove Street, East Boston, died Friday, July 12, in St. Vincent Hospital at Worcester Medical Center.

Her husband, Frank M. Lysiak, died in 1991. She leaves two sons, Joseph F. Lysiak of Worcester and Frank M. Lysiak, Jr. of Buffalo, NY; three daughters, MaryAnn Lysiak of East Boston, Bernadette R. LaCoursiere of Worcester, and Carolyn T. Gaudette of Holden; two brothers, Henry J. Borowy and Thaddeus J. Borowy, both of Worcester; a sister, Jane C. Sliwoski of Charlton; 7 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; nephews and nieces. A son, Paul M. Lysiak of Worcester, died in 1976. A sister, Maryanna Sot of Australia, died 1998. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Stanislaw and Josephine (Podolak) Borowy and graduated from St. Mary's High School.

Mrs. Lysiak was a machine operator 21 years at Parker Manufacturing Co., retiring in 1976.

She was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Catholic Parish.

The funeral will be held Monday, July 15, from Henry-Dirsa Funeral Home, 33 Ward Street, with a Mass at 9 a.m. in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward Street. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, July 14, in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward Street, Worcester, MA 01610.
