Obituary

Reynolds of Templeton, formerly of Brockton, East and West Bridgewater February 22, 2006 – Thomas L. Reynolds 82 years. He was husband of the late Claire Elizabeth (Walker) Reynolds, and father of Thomas E. and John J. Reynolds, both of Templeton. Brother of Dorothy Roscoe and her husband Robert of East Bridgewater and James Reynolds and his wife Linda of South Easton.
Funeral service in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Route 123), Brockton, on Saturday at 10 am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery, Brockton. Visiting hours Friday 5:00 – 8:00pm.

Obituary

Thomas Lester Reynolds of Templeton, Massachusetts, formerly of Brockton, Brookfield, and East and West Bridgewater, Massachusetts passed away on February 22, 2006 at the Henry Heywood Hospital in Gardner, Massachusetts following a brief illness.
He was born on May 8, 1923 in Brockton and was the son of the late Lester W. and Alice (Swift) Reynolds, of West Bridgewater. He grew up in West Bridgewater and graduated from Howard High School. He was husband of the late Claire Elizabeth (Walker) Reynolds.
Mr. Reynolds held many different kinds of positions during his career. He worked at the Hingham Shipyard during World War II, drove for the former Taunton Lumber Company of Brockton, and was involved in the automobile service industry at the former Lalli Motors of Brockton and the former Hawkins Dodge of Randolph. Later on, he worked for the Northrup Corporation in Needham, where he was involved in the Polaris submarine project. Later on, he worked for the Town of East Bridgewater in both the School and Highway Departments. At the end of his career, he retired from Peterborough Chrysler, Peterborough, New Hampshire.
Mr. Reynolds was active in the development of the East Bridgewater Little League and the East Bridgewater Commercial Club. He enjoyed his groundskeeping position for the East Bridgewater Park Department at Strong’s Field. He was a devoted railroad enthusiast during his entire life, and traveled by train extensively throughout the country with his family.

Survivors include sons Thomas E. and John J. Reynolds, both of Templeton, Massachusetts, a sister and her husband, Dorothy and Robert Roscoe of East Bridgewater, a brother and his wife, James and Linda Reynolds of South Easton, and several cousins, nephews, and nieces around New England.
