Obituary

SACO- Marvin R. Snowdeal Jr., passed away on June 26, 2020. He went by the name, "Butch," to family and friends. He was born on May 5th, 1952 in Rockland, Maine. He was the son of Marvin R. Snowdeal Sr., and Anna Marriner Snowdeal.

Butch worked various career's in his lifetime. His music career was his absolute favorite. He played in many bands with his best friend, Rick Walling. In high school, they played in the band, "The Microwaves," which eventually opened up for the band, "The Dave Clark Five." Many of the bands he played in were very successful. At one point winning the State of Maine Best Country Band Competition while playing in the band, "Overland Express." They went on to compete Nationally at the Grand Old Opry. He also was in the band, "Santa Fe," which was the former Governor of Maine, Angus King's, favorite Maine Country band. They played the Governor's inaugural ball and other events.

Butch was known as a very kind man and he will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved him. He was a very humble and modest person. He was a wonderful father and brother.

He is predeceased by his parents. He is survived by both of his son's, Jason and Daniel. Also his sister, Cheryl, and her husband, Jeff Leighton. Grandson's, Kyle and Max. He is also survived by his lifelong friend, Rick Walling and family, and many Aunt's, Uncle's and cousin's.

Butch spent the final years of his life with his best little fur friend, "Darby."

There will be a graveside service on Sunday, July 12th at 2 p.m.. at the Highland Memorial Cemetery in South Portland, ME.
