Mary P. "Phyllis" (Reardon) Coronella, of Medford, passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, June 24th. She was 89. Born in Cambridge, she was the daughter of the late William and Margaret (Hanlon) Reardon.
Phyllis loved traveling; she enjoyed the country side of Ireland, the rustic charm of Italy, historic landmarks of London and the natural beauty of Alaska. When Phyllis was not traveling, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, playing a good hand of cards and occasionally shouting out "BINGO" on Bingo night.
Phyllis was the beloved wife of the late Philip Coronella. She was the devoted mother of Paul Coronella, and his wife Channa, Stephen Coronella, and his wife Breda, Susan O'Neil, and her husband Joseph and Tracy Grant, and her husband Mark. She was the loving Grandma of Jolene, Joseph, Brian, Nicholas, Matthew and the late Paul Jr., and the caring great-grandma of Eddie, Joseph, Francesca, Philip and James. She was the dear sister of William Reardon, Edward Reardon, Ellen Nangle and Robert Reardon. She was the lifelong friend of Barbara Dwyer, and the former mother in-law of Jodi. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High St., MEDFORD, on Tuesday, June 30th at 10 AM. Visiting hours will be private. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
