FALL RIVER – Lorraine Duarte, age 88, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2020 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was the beloved wife the late John Duarte. Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late John and Sarah (Furtado) Costa. Lorraine loved going to casinos, long car rides and shopping. She was a member of Cornerstone Adult Day Care. She was a high school graduate at Diman Girls Vocational High School. For many years, she worked as a clerk at S&H Redemption Center.
Lorraine is survived by her children Michael Duarte (wife Debra) of FL, Ken Duarte (wife Judith) of Fall River and daughter Lisa Ann Duarte of Fall River; brothers James and Ronald Costa; 3 grandchildren Joshua, Sarah and her husband Alex and Missy and her companion Paul; 2 great-grandchildren Kyle and Cameron; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings Robert Costa, John Costa and Delores Raposa.
