Carl G. Demers, 67, of Londonderry, NH, died Tuesday, February 21, 2006 in the Pleasant Valley Nursing Center in Derry, NH. Mr. Demers was born in Manchester, NH on April 30, 1938, a son of the late Charles A. and Irma M. (Donaldson) Demers. He was a resident of Londonderry for the past 33 years, formerly living in Manchester. Mr. Demers was a Navy veteran serving from 1956 - 1959. He had been employed for Pine Grove Cemetery in Manchester for several years, and more recently had worked as a laborer for Local #668 until retiring in 1998. Mr. Demers loved hunting, fishing, camping, and visiting relatives and friends. He was also a member of the Londonderry Fish and Game Club.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra (Perkins) Demers of Londonderry, three sons, Carl Demers Jr. and wife Christine of Loudon, NH, Scott Demers and wife Audrey of Londonderry, Steven Demers of Goffstown, NH, six grandchildren, two sisters, Nancy Demers of Manchester, Diane Jaszicek of Epsom, NH, one aunt, Jeanne Ruckman of California, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Harold (Gary) Demers and Edward P. Demers.
Calling hours were on Thursday, February 23, 2006 from 6 - 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. Funeral services were held on Friday, February 24th at 9:00am in the funeral home. The burial will be in the Pine Grove Cemetery in Manchester. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Rockingham VNA Hospice, 137 Epping Rd., Exeter, NH 03833, or to the Pleasant Valley Nursing Center, 8 Peabody Rd., Derry, NH 03038.
