James A. Shepherd, Jr., 73, of Ocilla, Georgia, died Tuesday, February 21, 2006, at Phoebe Putney Hospital, Albany, GA.
Graveside services will be held 11 AM Thursday, February 23, 2006, at Eureka Cemetery with the Rev. Huey Nichols officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 22, 2006, from 7 until 8:30 PM at the funeral home in Ocilla.
Mr. Shepherd was born August 15, 1932 in Coolidge, GA to the late James A. and Ruby Chestnutt Shepherd. He had lived in the Ocilla community for the past 33 years. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War era and was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife: Roxie D. Shepherd of Ocilla and several nieces and nephews.
