Obituary

Lorraine Porter, 91, of Carl Avenue, North Providence, died Saturday, June 20, 2020 peacefully at home with her family by her side. She was the wife of the late Arthur E. Porter.

She leaves her three children: Brenda Castiglioni and her companion Matthew Corbishley, of North Providence, Arthur Porter, Sr., of Johnston and Kathleen Grande and her husband George Grande of North Providence, her six grandchildren; Michael Miale, Jr. and his wife Nicole, Matthew Miale and his wife Michelle, Arthur Porter, Jr. and his fiancé Barbara Martel, George Grande, II and his wife Dina, Amy Porter and her companion, Joe Barbieri, Anthony Grande and his fiancé Rylee Newman and her seven great grandchildren, Dustin Porter, Kaelyn Porter, Hailey Porter, Brady Miale, Lilly Rose Miale, Isabella Grande and Anthony Joseph Grande, Jr. She was predeceased by her parents: Walter and Beatrice (Benoit) Breault and her siblings Robert Breault, James Breault, Dorothy Pare and Shirley White.

Lorraine had worked at Bess Eaton Donuts before retiring. She was a devoted mother and a lover of crafts, an avid knitter and crocheted up until three days before her death. She made many beautiful things for all her family which will be treasured forever.

At the family’s request, a private Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St Anthony’s Church in North Providence on Monday June 29th at 11:00 followed by private Burial at Highland Memorial Park in Johnston.
