Edward “Buddy” Whaley, Jr., 66, of Tifton passed away Monday, June 22, 2020, at his daughter’s residence in Tifton. A private family funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2020, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Jerry Riggs officiating. A graveside service will be held for Mr. Whaley on Thursday, June 25, 2020, at 2:45 p.m. at Tift Memorial Gardens, where he will be laid to rest.
Mason Whaley, Tim Stillwell, Bryce Whaley, Miles Whaley, James Whaley and Jose Perez will serve as pallbearers.
Born May 10, 1954 in Sylvester, Mr. Whaley was the son of the late Edward Mack Connell Whaley, Sr. and Mandy Blair Whaley. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Carol Miles Whaley; and two sisters. He had worked at Triest Agriculture in Tifton for over thirty years.
Mr. Whaley is survived by six children and their spouses, Cyndi and Ricky Cooper of Tifton, James Whaley of Tifton, Jayson Whaley of Anaheim, California and Samantha and Jose Perez, Miles Whaley and Buddy Whaley, all of Tifton; one brother, Jessie Lee Whaley; two sisters, Virginia Pineda and Irene Arenello; eight grandchildren and their spouses, Niobe and Rachel Funderburk, Shelby and Brandon Fincher, Joshua Hale, Bryce Whaley, Ricky Whaley, A. J. Perez, J. P. Perez and Milly Perez; and two great-grandchildren, Bristol Burgess and Scarlett Cooper.
