LOWELL—Floyd Williams, 55 years old, a longtime resident of Lowell, died early Saturday morning, February 18th, at the home of his sister, in Lowell.
He was born in Wilson, NC, a son of the late David and Katie Mae (Anderson) Williams, and was a graduate of the Lowell Public School System and Lowell High School.
Mr. Williams had been employed by Verizon for over 34 years as a Lineman and more recently as the Supervisor of Inspections.
Surviving him are his children: Jennifer Ann Williams, Lindsey D. Williams, and Curtis David Williams, all of Lowell; his brother James Armstrong, of Lowell; six sisters: Annie Tune and Lilly Mae Williams, both of Baltimore, MD; Frances Simmons, Ruby McDougal, Christine Williams and Mandy Bagley, all of Lowell; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 PM on Thursday, February 23rd at the MAHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 187 Nesmith St. (Rte. 38). His Funeral Service to be held Friday, February 24th, at 10 AM at the funeral home. Burial in the Westlawn Cemetery, Lowell. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital; 201 St. Jude Place; Memphis, TN 38105-1905.
