CHICOPEE – Saroun Pech, 76, of the Aldenville section of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Wednesday, June 17, 2020. He passed into Eternal Life at his home surrounded by the care and comfort of his loving family. He was born in Siem Reap, Cambodia on October 3, 1943. He served in the Army in Cambodia and became a naturalized citizen of the United States in 1997. He was a dedicated custodian at Amherst College for many years. He leaves his beloved wife, Lun Heav of Chicopee; his five devoted children, Ry Roun and her husband, Robert Gignilliat, Jr., of Chicopee, Rady Roun of Chicopee, Knok Roun and her husband, Matthew Richard, of Atlanta, GA, Kloeur Roun of Chicopee, and Veasana Roun of Chicopee; his twelve cherished grandchildren; his two cherished great-granddaughters; and his dear sister-in-law, Touch Marine of Amherst. Due to current conditions, a Celebration of Life Service will take place at a later date.
