Obituary

Diane M. (Morneau) Fessler age 59 of Hampstead, NH and of Salem, MA. Died Monday afternoon at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers following a courageous battle with cancer. She was the wife of Kenneth A. Fessler. Born and raised in Beverly, MA, she was the daughter of the late Robert Albert and Mary Bernadine (Opperman) Morneau. She began working as a flight attendant with US Air in 1967 and flew international flights until her retirement in May of 2001. She has been an advocate for the elderly and volunteered for North Shore Elder Services in Danvers. Diane was an avid golfer and was on several leagues both here and in Nevada. She loved reading, hand crafts and knitting. She and her husband divided their time between New Hampshire, Salem, MA and Las Vegas. She was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Peabody.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter: Christine Morneau of Beverly, a brother: Robert A. Morneau of Gloucester, a sister: Patricia Cozby of Oxford, ME, also several nieces and nephews
Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral on Saturday, February 25, 2006, at 9 am from the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St., Salem, MA [Rt. 114 / 1-A] followed by her funeral mass in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, on the Salem / Peabody line [Rt. 114] at 10 am. Visiting hours: Friday 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 pm. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
