Shirley L. Brulotte (Shirl The Pearl), 67, of Manchester, died at the Elliot Hospital, February 21, 2006, surrounded by her family, friends and a wonderful nursing staff.
She was born in Manchester, August 6, 1938, and was a daughter of Henry (Jim) and Rena (Beeboes) Baines.
She worked at St. Johnsbury Trucking Co. for 25 years and was the former co-owner of Alluring Creations flower shop. She organized the Mayor’s Blarney Breakfast for 6 consecutive years and raised more than $150,000 for Special Olympics and The March of Dimes. She was a force to be reckoned with in the Baines for Mayor Campaign.
She leaves her companion of many years, Albert Mandeville of Manchester; two daughters, Karen Brulotte of Manchester, and Susan Cassidy-Lyon of Pembroke; two grandchildren, Devon and Tayla; three brothers, James Baines and his wife Flora of Florida, Alfred Baines and his wife Diane of Goffstown, and Robert Baines and his wife Maureen of Manchester; a sister, Susan Fischer and her husband Carl of Goffstown; Auntie Kurt; nieces, nephews and cousins. Shirley was the best Grammy in the world and the best mother, sister, aunt and friend anyone could ask for. She was loved and respected by all who knew her and she will be missed more than words can say.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Friday February 24, 2006 at St. Pius X Church. Burial was in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
