FALL RIVER - Michele A. (D’Arruda) Bigelow, age 55, residence 1165 Rodman St., Fall River, died Sunday at home unexpectedly. She was the wife of the late Walter F. Bigelow. She is survived by Two Sons: Eric S. Bigelow of Fall River, MA. and Bryan S. Bigelow of Connecticut, Two Brothers: Jose D’Arruda of No. Carolina and Silvino J. D’Arruda Jr.of Las Vegas, One Sister: Barbara Furtado of Tiverton, R.I.
Born in Fall River, the daughter of the late Silvino J. D’Arruda and the late Anne (Antoon) D’Arruda. She was a Somerset resident for most of her life, before returning to Fall River. She was an L.P.N. working in the Emergency Room at Charlton Memorial Hospital as a Technician. She was currently completing the Nursing Program at B.C.C., to become a Registered Nurse. Previously she worked as a hairdresser for 27 years and was the Owner & Operator of the former Salon de Beaute in Somerset. She also a graduate of Sacred Heart Academy.
Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons FuneralHome, 1521 No. Main St. on Saturday, Feb. 25, 2006 at 9:00 A.M. followed by A Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael Church, Essex St. Fall River at 10:00 A.M. Internment in St. Patrick Cemetery, Robeson St. Fall River, MA.
