Rita L. Raymond, 77, of Beverly, passed away unexpectedly at Beverly Hospital on Sunday, May 31, 2020 following a period of declining health. Born and raised in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Lillian (LeClerc) Martineau.
A graduate of Salem High, she devoted her early married life to the care of her young family. Later Rita worked as a sales clerk behind the counter of several Eaton Apothecary pharmacies. A smiling and gracious personality, she had developed her own following of pharmacy customers who loved to chat with her. Outside of work, she was always an avid Patriot’s fan watching every game.
She was a loving and dedicated mother who is survived by her daughter, Linda M. Arnold and her husband Dan of Haverhill, her sons, Thomas P. Raymond and his wife Denise of Danvers, David J. Raymond and his wife Kelly of Beverly, her grandson, Christopher Raymond of Beverly, as well as her sister, Claire Santos of Peabody. She is also survived by her former husband, Paul T. Raymond of Salem and several nieces and nephews.
Due to the current Covid Pandemic, private services were held. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider a memorial contribution to the MSPCA as Rita always loved animals. Funeral arrangements were through the Levesque Funeral Home of Salem. For guestbook, please visit www.LevesqueFunerals.com
