LOWELL—Mary D. (McDermott) Fallon, a lifelong resident of Lowell, died Thursday evening at her home. She was the wife of the late James Fallon, who died in 2000.
She was born in Lowell, on November 28, 1928, a daughter of the late John and Mary (Fitzsimmons) McDermott, and was educated in the Lowell Public Schools System. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law: Debra and Joseph Pierzynski, of Lowell; four sons: Michael P. Fallon, of Cocoa, FL; Gary J. Fallon, of Newburyport; Kevin J. Fallon, of Haverhill; and Edward D. Fallon, of Lowell; a brother and sister-in-law: John and Martha McDermott, of Lowell; a sister and brother-in-law: Geraldine and Robert Regan, of West Palm, FL; six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was the grandmother of the late Erin M. Fallon, who died in 1994.
Friends may call on Sunday, July 14th, from 4 to 8 PM at the MAHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 187 Nesmith Street, (Rte. 38). Her Funeral Mass to be offered Monday, July 15th, at 11 AM at the SACRED HEART CHURCH, Lowell. Burial in St. Patrick Cemetery, Lowell.
